This is the 21st century yet women and girls still face inequality and sexism. Girls across the UK are experiencing sexual harassment in schools and online, domestic abuse cases increased during the pandemic and gender based violence is still prevalent. There is still a gender pay gap and pension gap, and women and girls are struggling with low self-esteem and confidence across the country.

This is unacceptable. All women and girls deserve the same chances, and we want to ensure those chances are available in our community.

Future Female Society is here to close the gap in inequality for women and girls in Suffolk. To help to raise self-esteem and confidence levels, broaden personal and career aspirations and help women and girls in our community reach their full potential. We want to support and cultivate creative women who will develop themselves to be the best they can be and help each other to instigate social change.

We run programmes and workshops, visit schools and colleges and host events that raise aspiration and combat underachievement; we give women and girls the space to find their voice and recognise their own power, to become leaders of their own lives and within their careers and communities.

We're about inspiration, we're about aspiration, we're about equality and empowerment.
