Woman 2 Woman Radio is a fantastic new project run by FFS that is using radio to build confidence and teach new skills to migrant, refugee and Asylum seeking women. We have been running sessions as part of local ESOL classes as well and also have sessions running at the IO Radio Studio .
If you have English as a second language and are interested learning a fun new skill whilst practising your English then get in touch.
As rewarding as being a mum can be, we know from our own experience that it can also be isolating, lonely and frustrating. This can be doubly so if you are a young mum.
We often lose confidence and struggle to think about what else there is, or can be to life.
This programme, for young mums, helps build self belief, develop skills and introduce networks that can help you to work out your next steps, be that employment, education, enterprise, training, volunteering etc.

Girls, Where You AT? Is our exciting new FREE programme, funded by The Big Lottery Fund and Youth Social Action Fund, for 13-20 year olds.
There are a distinct lack of girls working in the creative media industries and we want to combat that!
This programme will give the girls skills in radio, music and video production as well as networking them in with local women who are working in creative industries, or who are running their own businesses.
The girls will learn skills and have the opportunity to run their own gig.
Club Formation is a programme designed for high schools.
Working with small groups to creatively examine the societal pressures that are linked to self image and self esteem, this programme develops key transferable skills and develops confidence and self esteem.
